Art Therapy
for Healing People

In this blog series, updated periodically, I share little stories that illustrate how art therapy works to support people in their work toward better emotional health.
A board-certified and licensed art therapist, I specialize in guiding the creative use of art materials and the sparking of imagination to explore issues and difficulties that may interfere in familial and social relationships, school participation and overall contentment and comfort with life. I have been enriched and invigorated by expanding my practice to include adults as well and children and teens .
I am here to help people who may be experiencing grief due to death or divorce, social awkwardness, racism, trauma, depression, anxiety, obsessive-compulsive disorder, oppositional defiant disorder, autism spectrum disorder, or other difficulties.
Art therapy is a form of treatment that works through verbal and nonverbal communication. No particular artistic skill is required.
A limited number of in-person sessions are available. Masking is required. Every effort is made to ensure adequate ventilation in the studio and materials, tools and tables are thoroughly cleaned between sessions.
Telehealth sessions via Zoom are available as well.
